Congress MP Imran Masood takes aim at the BJP-led Central government over the sale of public sector assets, backing Rahul Gandhi's criticism of the proposed IDBI Bank disinvestment. Speaking in Delhi, Masood alleges that the government is selling institutions built during the tenures of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Rajiv Gandhi. He names railway stations, airports, banks and PSUs, questioning what the present government has built. Masood also claims that public institutions were created to provide employment and serve the nation, not merely to generate profits. He further alleges that India's national debt has increased fourfold in the last 12 years compared with the debt accumulated over the preceding 60 years. His remarks come as Rahul Gandhi criticises the proposed sale of a controlling stake in IDBI Bank and voices support for its employees. #ImranMasood #RahulGandhi #IDBIBank #ModiGovernment #BJP #Congress #Privatisation #PSUs #PublicSectorBanks #AssetSale #IndianPolitics #PoliticalNews n18oc_shorts CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
