Delhi Airport on High Alert: CJP Leaders Detained After Landing Ahead of Protest | News18

DELHI AIRPORT SECURITY ALERT: Heavy security arrangements are in place across the national capital as the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leadership faces detention ahead of its planned protest at Jantar Mantar. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained at Indira Gandhi International Airport after arriving in Delhi on October 10, 2026. According to Reuters, police met Dipke after he arrived from Mumbai and asked him to call off the demonstration, which authorities had banned. The party said Das and Ranka were also detained from their flight upon landing. The detentions come amid an extensive security operation across Delhi ahead of the CJP’s “Save Democracy” mobilisation. The party has called for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. #CJP #DelhiAirport #AbhijeetDipke #SauravDas #AshutoshRanka #DelhiProtest #SaveDemocracy #GyaneshKumar #BreakingNews n18oc_breakingnews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
