ELON MUSK VS INDIA: The controversy over Starlink’s entry into India has escalated into a debate over data security, national sovereignty, telecom competition and the future of satellite internet. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has accused unnamed “oligarchs” of blocking Starlink to protect their dominance in India’s telecom market. The Indian government has rejected the allegation, describing its satellite-communications regulatory framework as fair and non-discriminatory. At the centre of the dispute is Starlink’s delayed commercial launch. Starlink, Reliance-backed Jio Satcom and Bharti-backed Eutelsat OneWeb have received satellite-communications licences, but security requirements and spectrum-related formalities remain outstanding. Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that all operators must meet the applicable requirements and that the Home Ministry has a role in security clearance. #ElonMusk #Starlink #StarlinkIndia #IndiaSecurity #SatelliteInternet #SpaceX #MukeshAmbani #JyotiradityaScindia #TelecomPolicy n18oc_breakingnews CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
