US Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has challenged New York City mayoral figure Zohran Mamdani over his call to abolish Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Mullin questioned how New York would keep criminals out if the federal immigration enforcement agency were dismantled, intensifying the political debate over immigration, public safety and law enforcement. Mamdani’s “Abolish ICE” position has become a flashpoint in the wider US immigration debate, drawing sharp criticism from conservatives who argue that ICE plays a crucial role in enforcing federal immigration laws. The clash highlights the deep divide between progressive calls for sweeping immigration reforms and the Trump administration’s tough enforcement approach. #MarkwayneMullin #ZohranMamdani #AbolishICE #ICE #USPolitics #USImmigration #ImmigrationDebate #TrumpAdministration #NewYork #NewYorkPolitics #HomelandSecurity #ImmigrationPolicy #BorderSecurity n18oc_world News18 Mobile App - https://onelink.to/desc-youtube OC CLEAN CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
