Recently, a clip from the Sexplanations episode titled "Virtuous Pedophiles" was featured on the Twitter account Libs of TikTok. Within weeks, the post garnered 6.4 million views and triggered backlash from a mob that included doxxing threats, harassing calls to a sponsor, and severe online bullying aimed at shaming the message that individuals who experience pedophilia deserve access to resources to prevent acting on their paraphilia. This episode of Sexplanations is a "thoughts from places" style narrative in which Dr. Doe shares her experience with widespread bullying.
