Police learned that 37-year-old Nicholas Thompson had left before officers arrived, but relatives described a troubling situation inside the home, including an injury to Thompson’s father. Family members also warned officers that Thompson had access to firearms. Officers determined they had probable cause to arrest him for domestic battery and elder abuse and began searching for him. His vehicle was eventually located through a Flock camera hours later near the Simi Valley Town Center. When an officer attempted to stop Thompson, he refused to pull over, triggering a pursuit that moved through city streets and eventually returned to the neighborhood where the original domestic violence call had occurred. As officers prepared for Thompson’s return, one officer warned the family to secure themselves inside the home while other officers positioned themselves nearby. Thompson’s pickup was seen traveling through the neighborhood before making another pass near the residence. During the final approach, an officer opened fire as the truck came through the area, continued down the street, striking an unoccupied police motorcycle before crashing into a recreational vehicle and later coming to a stop. Officers immediately surrounded the vehicle and fired additional rounds before ordering Thompson to show his hands and surrender. When he failed to comply, a SWAT team was brought in to remove him from the truck and provide medical assistance. Officers eventually pulled Thompson from the vehicle and attempted lifesaving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators later confirmed that Thompson did not have a firearm on him when he was shot, and no officers were injured. The California Department of Justice is conducting the investigation into the officer-involved shooting. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'William Prowse IV' - 'Quân La' - 'Zixuno' - 'HauntSync.com' - 'Rate A Creator with Omar Alkahlout' - 'Forever A Loner' - KHALID - Michael Griffin - John Doe - 'Twitchypowpow' - Rose - Tyrell Robertson - christine Grinter - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - LJ - Brianna Wilkins - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - "John B.
