TRUMP'S NEW MEDIA WARRIOR: US President Donald Trump has picked conservative commentator Katie Zacharia as the next White House press secretary, replacing Karoline Leavitt, who left the role in August. Zacharia previously worked as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security and is a senior communications adviser at Trump Media & Technology Group, the company behind Trump's Truth Social platform. She has also appeared on Fox News and Newsmax and worked on Trump's presidential campaigns. Trump announced his choice on Truth Social, describing Zacharia as a loyal and brilliant supporter. Zacharia thanked the president and said she looked forward to communicating the administration's achievements to the American public. Her appointment comes as Trump continues to emphasise the importance of communicating his administration's policies and achievements.
