Prudential partial business suspension order; FSA criticises past management too [Super J Channel] (October 9, 2026)

A news report on the Financial Services Agency ordering Prudential Life to partly suspend business for about three months, and Gibraltar Life, in the same group, to stop new insurance contracts. The agency also calls for clearer management accountability.

プルデンシャル生命におよそ3カ月間の一部業務停止命令です。 　金融庁は、プルデンシャル生命と同じグループのジブラルタ生命に対し、今月13日から来年1月31日まで、保険の新規契約などを行わないよう命じました。 　また、過去の経営陣も含め、経営責任を明確化することや徹底した調査の実施、営業優先ではなくコンプライアンスを重視する企業風土の醸成なども求めています。 　金融庁は、プルデンシャル生命ではこれまでにも金銭に関する不祥事があったとして、「歴代の経営陣には再発防止の機会が幾重もあったにもかかわらず、営業推進を優先させるため、長年にわたり放置してきた」と厳しく批判しています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
