"Right in front of our homes…" Data centers spreading into central Tokyo; 60% of municipalities cite problems with the rules | Spotlight Investigative Reporting Project

From Fuji TV's Spotlight investigative reporting project looks at a planned data center in Koto Ward, Tokyo. According to the report, the project would stand 3.7 meters from the boundary of an apartment building and rise more than 50 meters. Residents have voiced concerns about noise, heat exhaust and safety in the event of a fire. A survey of municipalities in the Tokyo metropolitan area found that 60% pointed to problems with the current system.
