The blind spot in the new bicycle rules: cars becoming offenders one after another. Tokyo Metropolitan Police to overhaul yellow center lines [Spotlight] investigative reporting project

The video reports on cars overtaking bicycles on the road after the introduction of 'blue ticket' penalties for bicycle traffic violations in April. Field observations found many cars crossing the no-overtaking yellow center line to keep distance from cyclists, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police reportedly plan to change these lines to white lines that allow overtaking.
