Abdul El-Sayed declares victory in Michigan and accuses Republicans of targeting his Arab Muslim identity

Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed declared victory in the Michigan election. He described the campaign against him as dirty and said it targeted him and his faith as an Arab Muslim. He also said pro-Israel groups spent millions of dollars to damage his image. He credited the cost of living, the dispute with Canada and the war with Iran as key factors that drew voters to him by a margin of more than 200,000 votes.
