A Night That Never Ends | Sapto Nugroho | TEDxITENAS
Many people in remote areas miss out on growth, learning and dignified living because they lack access to everyday necessities, not because of willpower or intelligence. Whole communities can remain left behind in darkness while the world moves forward. In this TEDxITENAS talk, development practitioner Sapto Nugroho asks what progress really means and who benefits from it. He looks at access to basic human necessities as a broader view of social equity, beyond economics or education alone.

Many people, especially in remote areas, lose the chance to grow, to learn, and even to live with dignity. Not because they lack willpower or intelligence, but because they don’t have access to things most of us take for granted. In a world that keeps moving forward, whole communities are still left behind in silence and darkness. In this talk, Sapto Nugroho invites us to rethink what progress really means, and who gets to benefit from it.
