AI firm Orts accounting fraud: prosecutors seek 4-year prison term for former president (October 9, 2026)

A report on the trial over alleged accounting fraud at AI developer Orts, in which prosecutors requested a four-year prison sentence for the former president. The defence argued for a suspended sentence; the verdict is due December 8.

AI開発企業「オルツ」が111億円余りの売り上げを過大に計上し粉飾決算していた事件で、前社長の男に対し、検察側は懲役4年を求刑しました。 　AI開発企業「オルツ」の前社長・日置友輔被告（35）は、創業者で元社長の米倉千貴被告（49）らとともに、2022年から2024年までに合わせて111億円余りの架空の売り上げを計上し、嘘の有価証券報告書を提出した罪に問われています。 　9日の論告で、検察側は「米倉氏に次いで中核的な役割にあった」と指摘しました。 　そのうえで「反省の情に極めて乏しい」として、懲役4年を求刑しました。 　一方、弁護側は、循環取引は元社長らの「一種の聖域」となっていて日置被告の権限は限定的だったとして、執行猶予付きの判決が相当と主張しました。 　判決は12月8日に言い渡されます。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
