Magnitude 5-upper quake in Aichi: Injuries from falls and jumps

A magnitude 5-upper earthquake struck Aichi Prefecture, and several people were reported injured in falls and jumps during the shaking and evacuation. In Toyota, a 43-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman fell and hit their heads; both were taken to hospital with minor injuries. In Tokoname, a woman in her 50s fell while evacuating and hurt her right ankle, and in Ōbu a man in his 20s jumped from the second floor of an apartment and was taken to hospital, with the extent of his injuries not yet known. 豊田市消防本部によりますと、地震の影響で43歳男性と88歳女性が転倒、いずれも頭を打ち病院に搬送されましたが軽傷だということです。 　また、常滑市によりますと、50代女性が避難している途中に転倒し、右足首にけがを負ったということです。 　大府市では、20代男性が地震の揺れに驚いてアパートの2階から避難しようと1階に飛び降りた際にけがをしたということです。 　男性は病院に搬送されましたが、けがの程度は分かっていません。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
