Al Jazeera at 30: Reporting Centred on People and Peoples' Issues

The Al Jazeera Media Network marks 30 years since its founding, reviewing a history that began in the 1990s. The network says it broke the monopoly of official narratives and helped open a space for freedom of expression in the Arab world. On its anniversary, it also discusses the challenges of field reporting and rapid digital change. It states that it is entering its fourth decade with new specialised channels and platforms covering international crises.
