The Future They Never Saw | Sloane Avery Ariana | TEDxRiverfield Country Day School

Sloane Avery Ariana, a 5th grader at Riverfield, traces the origins of her three names and reflects on the adventurous and often difficult lives of her ancestors. The talk encourages viewers to explore their own family history and to respect the sacrifices previous generations made for those who came after. Through researching the origin of her three names, Sloane has come to appreciate the adventurous and often arduous life of her ancestors. Sloane is hoping to inspire others to explore their ancestry and to respect the sacrifices that many of our ancestors have made for future generations. The daughter of Jamie Ariana and Lauren Avery and the sister of Ethan Ariana, when not at school she is a competitive gymnast, avid reader, and huge music fan.
