Bear sightings and injuries to people are reported to rise in October, a peak month for bear activity. Multiple sightings have been reported in Hadano and Matsuda in Kanagawa Prefecture and in Otsuki in Yamanashi Prefecture. The broadcaster obtained footage showing a mother bear and two cubs, apparently after eating persimmons. The report also features interviews with the mother of a victim injured on October 11 and a man whose right eye ruptured in a May attack and who is still undergoing treatment.
