Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly to leave role after selling ownership stake

Chelsea chairman Todd Boehly and director Mark Walter have agreed to sell their 25 per cent stake in the club to majority shareholders Clearlake Capital. The deal values Chelsea at £5bn. The sale would give Clearlake full control of the club, with 86.5 per cent ownership. Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss would hold the remaining 13.5 per cent.
