China's third-quarter GDP growth at 4.5%, meeting government target

According to China's National Bureau of Statistics, GDP growth in the third quarter of 2026 (July to September) was 4.5% compared with the same period a year earlier. This was a slight improvement from 4.3% in the April to June period. Cumulative growth for January to September reached 4.6%, within the full-year target range of 4.5% to 5.0%.
