There are deeper issues to consider when we discuss the lack of housing in our society. Craige Hoover is a real estate developer, advisor, and placemaker focused on creating walkable, community-centered environments across small towns, suburbs, and ex-urban settings. Over the past two decades, he has worked on mixed-use neighborhoods, town centers, and farm-based communities throughout the Southeast. He is currently leading the development of Armistead, a farm-forward, mixed-use community in Franklin, Tennessee, where he is actively exploring how housing diversity, walkability, and working land can coexist in a modern American town. His work sits at the intersection of housing, land use, and human behavior—translating complex economic and regulatory systems into places that support daily life, connection, and long-term resilience." This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
