Crypto Theft Linked to North Korea: FBI Claim and Kim Yo Jong's Rejection
The FBI has pointed to a North Korean hacker group in connection with a hack of about 1 trillion yen at Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges. Kim Yo Jong, sister of Kim Jong Un, called the claim a "preposterous fabrication" in a statement dated the 2nd, according to the Korean Central News Agency. She accused the United States of trying to damage North Korea's international image. The same hacker group may also have been involved in an unauthorized access problem at GMO last month.
