That suspect has since been identified as 42-year-old David William Lane. Following the attack, deputies at the law enforcement center rendered aid to the injured police officer and worked to identify and locate the suspect who was seen driving away in a 2019 silver Honda Civic. At approximately 3:15 a.m., a Greenville County deputy located the suspect's vehicle on Roper Mountain Road and followed the vehicle until it turned on Huntington Road and stopped. As the deputy observed the suspect's actions, the suspect fired multiple rounds at the deputy from two different locations. The deputy did not return fire. Following the series of gunfire from the suspect, deputies saturated the area and ultimately pursued the suspect to a parking lot near the intersection of Independence Boulevard and Ponders Road. The suspect stopped his vehicle and opened fire again on deputies. One deputy returned fire before the suspect drove away and quickly turned into a nearby parking lot. Once in the parking lot, the suspect was forcibly stopped and an officer involved shooting occurred. Following the shooting, the suspect was pronounced deceased by what the Greenville County Coroner's Office revealed was a self-inflicted gunshot that occurred around the time of the forcible stop. The suspect's 12- gauge shotgun and 9mm handgun were collected from the scene and seized as evidence. 🚨𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑒𝑙 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑑𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎𝑛𝑎𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑙 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑢𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑑𝑠. ⚠️𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑑𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑑 𝑑𝑢𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑢𝑠 𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑡.⚠️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Special thanks to Shout-Out Supporters on Patreon: - 'DIY Solar Power with Will Prowse' - 'Based Asuka' - 'The Evil Queen' - Benjamin Osgood - Gary Wilson - LJ - Chase - Tavia Shields - Edward Aquino - Brianna Wilkins - Eian Smith - brandon - William - Hunter - Cammy - Elisabeth Craig - Bobby Roach - Sarin Dipity - Becky Hopkins - thomas - Cody Stephens - Troy Polansky - Tulla Belle - 'quadrakyiro' - Scott Mackin - "John B.
