David Fofana, founder and CEO of Groupe Mayelia Participations, talks about his work in multimodal transport in Côte d'Ivoire. He describes earlier roles at SOTRA, SITARAIL, the Port of Antwerp and Transport for London before founding Mayelia Automotive in 2019 to modernise vehicle technical inspection. The talk outlines his goal of building a pan-African company that combines innovation, skills development and lasting economic impact. David Fofana est entrepreneur et fondateur-PDG du Groupe Mayelia Participations. Fort d’une expérience dans le secteur du transport, il développe des solutions innovantes dans la mobilité, le contrôle technique, la technologie et la formation, avec l’ambition de bâtir un champion africain créateur de valeur et d’impact. David Fofana est un entrepreneur ivoirien, expert en transports multimodaux, Fondateur et Président-Directeur Général du Groupe Mayelia PARTICIPATIONS. Fort d’expériences à la SOTRA, SITARAIL, au Port d’Anvers et à Transport for London, il s’impose comme un acteur de la transformation de la mobilité en Côte d’Ivoire. Après avoir contribué à la structuration du transport lagunaire, il fonde Mayelia Automotive en 2019 et participe à la modernisation du contrôle technique automobile. Cette dynamique est consacrée en 2024 par l’obtention du 2ᵉ Prix national d’Excellence par Mayelia Automotive. Sous son leadership, Mayelia devient un groupe intégré opérant dans le contrôle technique, la mobilité, la technologie et la formation, renforcé par l’intégration de la SICTA. Porté par une vision panafricaine, David FOFANA ambitionne de bâtir un champion africain alliant innovation, performance, développement des compétences et impact économique durable.
