Disney Kitchen Timers Recalled: 6,449 Units Due to Battery Swelling

Oriental Land, the company that operates Tokyo Disney Resort, has announced a recall of 6,449 kitchen timers. The affected units were sold at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea shops and on the official online store between the 15th and 26th of the current month. The company said three cases were confirmed in which alkaline button batteries swelled and lifted the battery cover. It warned that impacts could lead to battery leakage or damage, and asked owners not to use the product or open the battery cover.

東京ディズニーリゾートを運営するオリエンタルランドはキッチンタイマー6449個を回収すると発表しました。 　回収の対象となるのは今月15日から26日までに、東京ディズニーランドとディズニーシーの店舗や公式オンラインストアなどで販売された「キッチンタイマー」6449個です。 　オリエンタルランドによりますと、アルカリボタン電池が膨張し、ふたが浮き上がる不具合が3件確認されたということです。 　衝撃などによって、電池の液漏れや破損する恐れがあるとしています。 　オリエンタルランドは、商品を持っている人は使用せず、電池のふたを開けないよう呼び掛けています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
