Doctor S Begins Passenger Service, Allowing Inspections With Passengers Aboard

Doctor S, the successor to the Shinkansen inspection train Doctor Yellow, has started commercial passenger service. Doctor Yellow, which inspects track, is due to retire in January next year due to aging. Thanks to the use of AI and smaller measuring equipment, the new train can carry passengers and began operating on the 26th. Track inspection duties are scheduled to begin in January next year.
