Japan's Emperor and his eldest daughter, Princess Aiko, attended an autumn gagaku music concert at the Imperial Palace. According to the report, they visited the Gakubu office in the Higashi Gyoen garden around 2:30 p.m. on the 24th. Six pieces were performed, and Princess Aiko commented on the contrast between the quiet music and the energetic dance of Konjushu, a bugaku piece depicting a drunken dance. The pair looked through a program during the performance and applauded at the end.
