Ethiopian defence minister confirms army readiness against external threats

Ethiopian Defence Minister Mohammed Idris said the army is ready to respond to any internal or external provocation. He made the remarks during celebrations marking 119 years since the founding of the Ethiopian army. Idris said Ethiopian forces had foiled what he described as terrorist plots by internal and external actors aimed at undermining the state.
