How border tensions have affected diplomatic relations between Khartoum and Addis Ababa

An Al Jazeera analysis examines the recent diplomatic escalation between Ethiopia and Sudan, including the expulsion of diplomats and the closure of consulates in border areas. Political analyst Musa Sheikho links these steps to security and military tensions that have built up along the shared border. According to the report, Ethiopia's measures, including a request that Sudanese diplomats leave the Asosa consulate in Benishangul-Gumuz region, were driven by growing security concerns. The report also refers to reports of armed groups using Sudanese territory to launch attacks on Ethiopian forces.
