Two men re-arrested over false parking certificate to switch to Yokohama number plates

Two men have been re-arrested on suspicion of submitting a false parking space certificate application in order to change a car's number plates to Yokohama plates. They allegedly used a rented parking lot they had no contract for, presenting it as the vehicle's storage location. Investigators believe the pair repeatedly filed false applications for more than 50 so-called "finance cars" whose loans were unpaid and that were not registered in their names. One suspect, Takayoshi Miyazaki, denies the charges, saying he cannot recall any involvement, while police are examining whether some of the vehicles were passed to people linked to organized crime.

車のナンバーを横浜ナンバーに変えるため虚偽の車庫証明申請書を提出したとして男2人が再逮捕されました。 　宮崎峻容疑者（44）ら2人は9月、車のナンバーを変えるために、契約していない貸し駐車場を車の保管場所と偽って、神奈川県内の警察署に車庫証明の申請書類を提出した疑いが持たれています。 　捜査関係者によりますと、2人はローンが未返済で名義が自分の物ではない「金融車」と呼ばれる車の虚偽申請をこれまでに50件以上繰り返していたとみられています。 　宮崎容疑者は「心当たりがなくて思い出せません」と容疑を否認しています。 　警視庁は、虚偽申請をした車の数台が暴力団関係者に流れているとみて詳しく調べています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
