First Impressions Can Mislead: Su Yonghao at TEDxNanshan Salon
Su Yonghao, a civil engineer, world traveler and owner of a café-bar, reflects on how first impressions can give a false sense of understanding. He shares experiences from a trip in India, being defined by the camera on a dating reality show, and noticing the limits of first answers while serving customers at his café. The talk argues that good judgment means allowing for uncertainty and giving answers more time.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
