Chinese national arrested over suspected forgery of My Number and residence cards

A 27-year-old Chinese national has been arrested on suspicion of forging seven My Number cards and four residence cards. He is believed to have imported hologram materials from China used to make the fake cards. The forged cards were reportedly sold by burying them in soil or covering them with stones in parking lots and vacant lots in Tokyo. Police seized about 2,500 items from locations including the suspect's home.
