Global Hawk drone recovered at Kanazawa Port for crash investigation
A large Global Hawk unmanned reconnaissance aircraft operated by Japan's Air Self-Defense Force crashed off Tottori Prefecture last month. According to the Air Self-Defense Force, the aircraft took off from Misawa Air Base in Aomori and lost communication during a mission flight before going down. A private salvage ship searched the sea area and had recovered the fuselage and main wings by the 23rd. The wreckage was brought to Kanazawa Port and will be transported to Misawa Air Base to investigate the cause.
