Airliner Tire Burst Forces Emergency Landing; Link to Runway Metal Plate Unconfirmed

A Japan Airlines plane that took off from Tokyo's Haneda Airport made an emergency landing at Narita Airport after a tire burst. A government committee was unable to confirm a causal link between the tire burst and damage found on runway D, where rubber on the surface had peeled back to reveal a metal plate rising up to 8 centimeters. The committee presumed external factors were involved but could not identify the plate as the cause. Measures under consideration include switching to resin-based materials and revising inspection methods, with a final report expected in November.

羽田空港を離陸した飛行機のタイヤがパンクし、その後、滑走路に破損が見つかっていた問題で、国土交通省はパンクと破損に因果関係があるかは不明だと結論付けました。 　5月、羽田空港のD滑走路を離陸した日本航空の飛行機がタイヤのパンクにより成田空港へ緊急着陸しました。 　その後の点検で、D滑走路の路面のゴムがめくれて、その下にあった金属板が最大8センチ浮き出ていたことが明らかになっていました。 　国土交通省が立ち上げた対策検討委員会は、これまでパンクの原因などを調べてきましたが、「外的要因で起きたと推定されるが金属板との因果関係の特定には至らなかった」と6日に結論付けました。 　一方、金属板が浮き出た問題への対策として、樹脂系の素材への変更や点検方法の見直しなどをするということです。 　最終報告書は11月中に公表される見込みです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
