Hebron neighborhood closures, raids and new settlement plans: What is happening in Hebron?

Additional Israeli military reinforcements have reached the al-Jalda and Ain Dir Baha areas in central Hebron, where troops are closing two neighborhoods and raiding dozens of homes. Reports state that forces have taken control of buildings and turned houses into military barracks. The report links these developments to an attack at the city's northwestern entrance that killed two Israeli soldiers and wounded three others. The Hebron Hills settlement council has announced plans for two new settlements and six settlement farms in response.
