Hokuriku Shinkansen Tsuruga–Shin-Osaka extension: subcommittee meeting (November 6, 2026)

A Japanese government subcommittee met at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to review conditions for building the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension from Tsuruga in Fukui Prefecture to Shin-Osaka. On this occasion, it examined profitability and investment effects, two of the five basic conditions for construction. In July, ruling parties agreed on the Obama-Kyoto route, which passes near JR Katsuragawa Station in Kyoto. An interim summary is planned by year-end after hearings with JR West, and the extension section is expected to open after 2050.

北陸新幹線の福井県の敦賀から新大阪への延伸について、着工に関する条件を確認する委員会が国交省で開かれました。延伸区間の開業は、2050年以降となる見込みです。 　北陸新幹線の敦賀から新大阪への延伸をめぐっては、7月に与党は京都市にあるJR桂川駅付近を経由する「小浜・京都ルート」とすることで合意しました。 　国交省は6日、着工にあたっての基本的な5つの条件のうち、収支採算性や投資効果を確認するための小委員会を開催しました。 　今後、JR西日本からヒアリングなどをして年内に中間取りまとめをする方針です。 　延伸区間の開業は、2050年以降となる見込みです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
