Sheikh Ikrima Sabri on Al Jazeera: extension of his Al-Aqsa ban is arbitrary and aims to empty the mosque of Muslims

Al-Aqsa Mosque imam and preacher Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, speaking to Al Jazeera, condemned Israeli authorities' decision to extend his ban from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque for six more months, the fifth consecutive extension. He described the decision as arbitrary, racist and contrary to freedom of worship. Sabri said the aim, through expelling more than a thousand Jerusalemites and imposing barriers around the compound, is to empty Al-Aqsa and the Old City and open the way for raids by Jewish extremists.
