Iran expert: Tehran assesses that Washington and Tel Aviv are leaning toward war

Iran affairs analyst Hussein Royouran says Tehran is not tying its negotiating track with the United States to Israeli elections or US midterms. He argues that the other side has broken understandings and that Iran's armed forces remain ready to respond to any attack. According to Royouran, Iranian assessments point to a lack of seriousness in Washington and Tel Aviv and a continued drift toward war. He also frames Trump's statements as aimed at the Republican base and its electoral and economic interests.
