Japan Airlines (JAL) announced that personal data of about 92,000 people may have leaked after a contractor operating its reservation system was accessed without authorization. About 90,000 records include reservation numbers and names, while roughly 2,000 may also include passport numbers, nationality and contact details. The airline says credit card numbers and passwords were not leaked. Affected passengers, who held JAL Group flight reservations between August 10, 2023 and September 23 of this year, will be contacted individually.
