JAL unveils special aircraft for International Garden Expo, designed with mascot "Tunku Tunku"

Japan Airlines has unveiled a special aircraft designed with its official mascot to coincide with the International Garden Expo, which opens in March next year in Yokohama. The plane, named "Tunku Tunku JET", has colourful paint on its side inspired by flower petals. It is scheduled to operate on domestic routes from the 7th until around September next year. JAL, a sponsor of the expo, said it hopes the special flights will help more people learn about the event.

来年3月に横浜市で開幕する「国際園芸博覧会」に合わせ、日本航空は公式キャラクターなどをデザインした特別機をお披露目しました。 　「トゥンクトゥンクJET」と名付けられた機体の側面には、花びらなどをイメージしたカラフルな塗装が施されています。 　来年3月から半年間、花や自然をテーマに横浜市で開かれる「国際園芸博覧会」に合わせ、7日から来年9月ごろまで国内線で運航されます。 　博覧会に協賛する日本航空は「特別機の運航で博覧会を多くの人に知ってもらいたい」としています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
