AI Support for Japanese Minister Responses in the Diet

A trial version of an AI app that helps draft answers to questions in the Japanese Diet has become available to all government ministries from the 30th. The app is built into the government's own usage environment, called Genai. After a user enters a question and instructions, it searches public government materials and past answers and produces a draft within minutes. It also includes a feature that supports officials in confirming the intent of questions after lawmakers submit them, with full operation targeted for January after feedback is collected.
