JR Uchibo Line returns to normal timetable after September Typhoon 25 damage

The JR Uchibo Line, which had suspended service on some sections after soil flowed onto the tracks during Typhoon No. 25 in September, fully reopened after about six weeks. Trains run on the normal timetable from November 9. JR East had initially said service could take at least three months to resume, but progress on the work allowed the line to reopen across its full length at around 10 a.m. on November 8. With the reopening, the replacement bus service has ended.
