JR Uchibo Line to fully resume service tomorrow after Typhoon 25 damage

JR Uchibo Line, which has been partly suspended since Typhoon 25 caused earth and sand to flow onto the tracks, is expected to resume service on the full line around midday on November 8. After the last trains on November 7, a temporary turnaround facility at Nagaura Station was dismantled overnight. Bus replacement services are scheduled to end once the line reopens. Passengers quoted in the report welcomed the restoration.

台風25号の影響で現在も一部区間で運転を見合わせているJR内房線が8日、全線で運転を再開します。 利用者 「助かりますね。電車ないと厳しいので」 「助かります。行動範囲が広がります」 　千葉県を走るJR内房線は9月の台風25号の影響で線路に土砂が流入し、姉ケ崎駅と長浦駅の間で現在も運転を見合わせています。 　7日の運行終了後、夜間に長浦駅に設置された臨時の折り返し設備の撤去作業を行い、8日の昼ごろに全線で運転を再開する見込みです。 　バスによる代行輸送は運転再開をもって終了する予定です。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
