JR Uchibo Line Typhoon Damage: Full Reopening Expected Late December

Soil washed onto the tracks of the JR Uchibo Line in Chiba Prefecture after Typhoon No. 25, and train service between Anegasaki and Nagaura stations remains suspended. Full resumption is expected in late December at the earliest. As of the 13th, 334 students from 17 public high schools along the line were unable to attend school. Replacement bus services and bicycle rentals are currently in place, and an expert calls for local communities to organise their own transport support.
