JR Uchibo Line Set to Fully Resume After Typhoon Damage
The JR Uchibo Line in Chiba Prefecture has been suspended between Anegasaki and Nagaura stations since soil flowed onto the tracks during Typhoon No. 25 in September. Work to remove a temporary turnback facility at Nagaura Station was carried out by the morning of November 8, and full service is expected to resume around midday. According to JR East, some trains will be cancelled until about evening after operations restart, and the replacement bus service will end when trains resume.
