Restaurant owner killed in Kanoya, Kagoshima: 59-year-old man arrested

Police have arrested a 59-year-old man on suspicion of robbery-murder and trespassing in connection with the killing of a woman who ran a restaurant in Kanoya, Kagoshima, in July. According to police, the suspect allegedly entered the woman's home, asphyxiated her by pressing on her neck, and took cash. Sources say the suspect was a regular customer at her restaurant. The suspect has reportedly denied the charges.

鹿児島県鹿屋市で7月に飲食店経営の女性が自宅で殺害された事件で、警察は59歳の男を逮捕しました。 　強盗殺人と住居侵入の疑いで逮捕されたのは、鹿屋市に住む飲食店経営・肥後隆昭容疑者（59）です。 　警察によりますと、肥後容疑者は7月、鹿屋市で飲食店を経営していた大隅さつきさん（49）の自宅に侵入し、首を圧迫するなどして窒息させて殺害し、現金を奪うなどした疑いが持たれています。 　関係者によりますと、肥後容疑者は大隅さんの店の常連客だったということです。 　警察の調べに対し、「被害者と会ったことは間違いない。でも殺してもいないし、盗みもしていない」と容疑を否認しているということです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
