Armed attack in Karak leaves 9 dead; King vows accountability

The death toll from an armed attack in the city of Karak in southern Jordan has risen to nine, with dozens more injured. Twenty-six of the wounded are receiving treatment in government and military hospitals. Following the incident, King Abdullah II chaired a National Security Council meeting, stating that the safety of Jordanians is a red line.
