Masked wrestler councillor allowed to wear mask in council chamber – Kawanishi, Hyogo

In Kawanishi City, Hyogo Prefecture, masked wrestler and city councillor Billy Ken Kid (52) has been allowed to wear his mask in the council chamber. He is the first masked wrestler elected to office in the prefecture and had attended the initial council assembly without his mask. After discussion at a council representatives' meeting on the 6th, wearing the mask in future sessions was approved. He plans to attend the plenary session starting on the 9th wearing his mask.
