Emergency and governor rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: new political crisis in Pakistan

A state of emergency has been imposed in 12 districts of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and the province's administration has been handed to the governor. A petition has been filed in the province's High Court seeking an end to both the emergency and governor rule. Khyber was the only Pakistani province governed by Imran Khan's PTI party, and the chief minister has reportedly been detained following the federal government's decision.
