North Korea's Kim Jong Un reportedly visits Dandong, China, in first trip in about a year

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is reported to have visited Dandong in China's Liaoning Province. According to South Korean government officials, Kim entered China via the New Yalu River Bridge, a new crossing linking North Korea and China that opened on the 15th. If confirmed, the trip would be his first to China since September of last year. The detailed purpose of the visit, including whether he will meet Chinese officials, is not yet known.
