Lottery site passwords changed without consent, official site use suspended
The official Takarakuji lottery website in Japan has been temporarily suspended after some users' passwords were found to have been changed unintentionally. According to the Zenkoku Jichi Takarakuji Jimukyogikai, the site was halted around 10 a.m. on the 5th. Member records include names and payment information, so a possible data leak is under investigation. The scope of the impact is still being confirmed, and affected users will be contacted once details are available. In-person lottery sales are continuing as usual.
